Jiangsu University Achieves Outstanding Results in the National University Student Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation)

Recently, the Final of the 11th National University Student Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation) successfully concluded at Central South University. Students from our university achieved remarkable results once again, securing 5 first prizes, 1 second prize, and 1 third prize (each university is allowed a maximum of 7 teams to qualify for the final). Our overall performance ranked among the top among provincial universities, and we won the Excellent Organization Award for the fifth consecutive year!
As a national Class A competition co-sponsored by the Physics Discipline Group of the Joint Council of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers, the National University Experimental Physics Teaching Research Association, and other institutions, this year's competition featured extremely fierce competition, attracting 3,260 teams from 722 universities nationwide. After multiple rounds of selection, 750 teams from 331 universities ultimately advanced to the final. The School of Physics and Electronic Engineering of Jiangsu University organized unified selection and pre-competition training. Through the joint efforts of instructors and participating students, the university's delegation achieved comprehensive breakthroughs in multiple tracks, fully demonstrating solid physics experimental skills and outstanding innovative capabilities.

In this competition, students from Jiangsu University performed particularly outstandingly in the proposition-based track, winning 3 first prizes and 1 third prize, which set a historic best record for this track. The award-winning works cover multiple directions including micro-displacement measurement, weak pressure detection, innovation of classic physics experiments, and teaching micro-videos, demonstrating the profound accumulation of Jiangsu University in the reform and innovative practice of physics experimental teaching.

In recent years, Jiangsu University has thoroughly implemented the educational philosophy of "promoting teaching through competition, promoting learning through competition, and promoting innovation through competition", further advanced the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and continuously strengthened the construction of the practical teaching system. By constructing a four-in-one innovative education model of "curriculum - training - competition - incubation", the university has actively built a multi-level and all-round academic competition platform for students, effectively promoting the comprehensive improvement of their practical ability, innovative thinking, and teamwork ability. It is reported that Jiangsu University won 2 first prizes and 1 third prize in the National University Student Physics Experiment Competition (Teaching) held last July.
The achievement of these results is not only a full recognition of the university's physics experimental teaching quality and innovative talent training achievements, but also an important driving force for promoting the continuous deepening of education and teaching reform.
