On the morning of November 27th, the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering held the Wukesong Forum themed "Tools Empowering the Observation of Physics' Beauty" in Lecture Hall 103 of the Lecture Hall Complex. The lecture was delivered by Liu Yuan, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Microelectronics, School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, and attended by undergraduate students majoring in Physics Education from the Class of 2025.

In the lecture, Teacher Liu Yuan systematically elaborated on the core position of experimental observation as the foundation for discovering the beauty of physics and the only means to verify physical theories. He emphasized that scientific experiments require purposeful, repeatable, and meticulous observation combined with in-depth thinking based on systematic training. He outlined a scientific path for the students: "selecting interesting phenomena, conducting in-depth learning and repeating previous work, and seeking innovation through interdisciplinary integration," pointing out that "interest, depth, and interdisciplinarity" are the key elements.
Addressing the challenges faced by students in practice—such as scattered energy, superficial research, and limited knowledge—Teacher Liu focused on analyzing the empowering role of artificial intelligence (AI). He noted that AI helps broaden knowledge horizons, screen research topics, reduce computational workload, and assist in experimental observation. On this basis, he further clarified the positioning of innovative experiments in universities, emphasizing the importance of solid and comprehensive systematic learning as a fundamental foundation. He also suggested appropriately enhancing engineering capability training and experimental investment, while leveraging AI to support practice.
This lecture clarified the scientific path from experimental observation to theoretical innovation for the students, defined the auxiliary role of tools such as AI in this process, and provided clear guidance for their future study and research.
