To enhance the high-level talent cultivation in integrated circuits at Jiangsu University, on October 28, Ji Liuyang, the Director of the Admissions Office of Jiangsu University, Chen Yuanping, the Dean of the School of Physics and Electronics and the School of Integrated Circuits, and Xu Jing, the Vice Dean, visited Loongson Technology (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. for a discussion. The meeting focused on the development of the "Loongson Elite Class in Microelectronics Science and Engineering."

During the meeting, Yang Kun, Chairman of Loongson Technology (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., Zhang Shuang, Director of the Education Division of Loongson Technology, and Sun Changsheng, Director of the Talent Reserve Base of the Integrated Circuit Branch of the China Semiconductor Industry Association, welcomed the delegation from Jiangsu University. Yang Kun introduced the company's core strengths in independent chip design, research and development, and applications, and emphasized that Loongson Technology always values talent cultivation and innovation. He expressed the company's willingness to provide more practical training and internship opportunities for Jiangsu University students.

Chen Yuanping provided a detailed introduction to the university's academic layout, faculty strength, and research achievements in the field of microelectronics. Ji Liuyang presented the "Loongson Elite Class in Microelectronics Science and Engineering" program, which aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with cutting-edge theoretical knowledge and practical skills, meeting the national demand for talent in key areas.

Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on specific matters such as the training objectives, curriculum design, faculty allocation, and practical platforms for the elite class. They reached preliminary agreements on the design of the curriculum system and innovative teaching methods. The elite class will be jointly established by the university and the company, combining Loongson Technology's industry needs with Jiangsu University's educational and academic strengths. It will offer specialized courses including agricultural chip design, embedded systems, and fundamentals of artificial intelligence, to meet the national demand for talent in the agricultural chip sector.
