On January 14, 2022, the Department of Microelectronics organized 21 undergraduates to carry out cognitive internship in Dongchen Electronic Technology Co. This cognitive internship aims to cultivate the core skills of chip design engineers, to understand and master the basic skills of analog IC layout design engineers, and to be familiar with the basic process of chip production.

The engineers of Dongchen Electronics led the students to visit the chip design workflow and test lab, and also gave a detailed lecture on the theme of "the current situation of IC industry and chip design process", which further enhanced the ability of undergraduate students to link theory with practice and deepened and improved the professional knowledge learned in class.

In the exhibition hall, students further understood the development history, product achievements and development plan of Dongchen Electronics, felt the fruitful achievements brought by the corporate culture, and enhanced their understanding of the development of microelectronics industry. In the production workshop, under the detailed explanation of the engineer, the students carefully observed the production flow and process of SCR and integrated electronic devices. The close observation of the whole production process on site was full of novelty for the freshmen, which stimulated the students' desire to know more about microelectronics technology and enhanced their knowledge of microelectronics.

This undergraduate internship activity organized by the Department of Microelectronics gave students a deeper understanding of the production process of semiconductor chips, broadened their horizons, and gave them a deeper sense of the profound corporate culture, making them clearer about their current study status and goals, and providing valuable references for future career selection and long-term development.
