Department of Physics conducted a workshop on revision of syllabus of physics (normal) courses

On March 27th, the Department of Physics conducted a workshop on the revision of the syllabus of Physics (Teacher Training) course in 301 of the Practice Building. The meeting was chaired by Cao Dawei, director of the Department of Physics, and attended by Song Xiaoping, director of the Department of Applied Mathematics, Academy of Mathematical Sciences, Xu Chenguang, director of the Physics Experiment Center, Lv Cuihong and Dai Hailang, deputy directors of the Department of Physics, Professor Wang Zhengling and Associate Professor Xu Yuanyuan of the Department of Physics and other relevant teachers.


The revision of professional syllabus should be in accordance with the requirements of school documents and college documents, closely follow the talent training plan, and strictly review the normality and feasibility. In this meeting, we revised and improved the support matrix of each course and the graduation requirement index points again through discussion; based on the graduation requirement index points, we determined the course objectives based on the knowledge and skills, ideology and methods, and emotional values that students should achieve by learning the course; based on the course objectives, we designed the course teaching contents, teaching methods and assessment methods. This meeting discussed in depth the problems and improvement measures of the syllabus of three types of courses, including the professional theory course "Mechanics", the professional laboratory course "Mechanics Experiment", and the professional practice course "Education Practice I".


The seminar further improved the professional course teaching university to ensure that the course objectives can reasonably correspond to the graduation requirement index points, the course content and teaching methods can effectively achieve the course objectives, the course assessment content, methods and grading standards can prove the achievement of the course objectives, and further improve and enhance the quality of classroom teaching.
