报告题目: Kittens, Cats, and Compasses: Superposing Coherent States for Quantum Technologies
摘要:
Schrödinger kittens, cats, and compass states represent striking examples of quantum superposition and interference in phase space. Their nonclassical features make them highly sensitive to tiny perturbations, attracting significant interest for quantum sensing and precision technologies. This talk will introduce the physics of these coherent-state superpositions, highlighting their nonclassical features, interference patterns, generation, and stability under decoherence. Possible applications in emerging quantum technologies and quantum information science will also be outlined.
