On June 21st, the School of Physics and Electronics Engineering held a pre-departure guidance meeting for the 2023 summer overseas study program in the conference room 301 of the Physics Building. Gu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee and Vice Dean, counselor Liu Zhen, and students who were about to participate in the summer overseas study program attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu Zhen.

During the meeting, Deputy Secretary Gu affirmed the students' active participation in the overseas study program, hoping that everyone would cherish the learning opportunity, broaden their international horizons, promote Chinese culture, and showcase the style of students from Jiang University. She then provided pre-departure education to the students from four aspects: first, to make adequate preparations before the trip, bring necessary living supplies, apply for passports and travel permits to Hong Kong and Macao in advance, and understand local customs, habits, and climate; second, to raise awareness of safety, follow the team's arrangements, avoid traveling alone, and contact teachers promptly in case of problems; third, to maintain a firm political stance, abide by laws, regulations, and diplomatic protocols, enhance awareness of cybersecurity, and establish a good image for students of Jiang University; fourth, to study hard, make timely summaries, and continuously improve their professional competence and skills. Finally, Deputy Secretary Gu extended the school's best wishes to the students for a smooth and enjoyable summer overseas study.

This guidance meeting helped students enhance their ideological awareness, strengthen their determination to participate in overseas study exchange programs, continuously broaden their horizons, and improve themselves. At the same time, it also inspired students to have confidence in telling China's stories well and demonstrating the style of Chinese university students through practical actions.
