On the afternoon of March 31st, Professor Wu Chenxu, a national distinguished youth scholar and a professor at Xiamen University, was invited to give a special lecture titled "English as I understand from a different angle" to students of our school in Room 201 of the lecture hall. The lecture was hosted by Gu Yuting, the Vice Dean, and was attended by undergraduate students.

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Wu Chenxu used a light and humorous language to tell the students about his own experience in learning English, emphasizing that learning English is not difficult. He then explained common problems and solutions in the process of learning English, such as deconstructing complex sentences, key points in English pronunciation, and analysis of word prefixes and suffixes. During the interactive session, the students actively asked questions, and Professor Wu patiently answered each one. His profound knowledge, rich experience and insights, as well as his amiable scholarly demeanor, won enthusiastic applause from the students.

In this lecture, Professor Wu Chenxu shared his insights and methods in learning English from the perspective of a student in the field of science and engineering, inspiring the students' interest in learning English and providing new ideas and methods for improving the English proficiency of our science and engineering students.
