Recently, according to the latest data released by the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, our physics discipline has been ranked in the top 1% of global universities and research institutions by ESI for the first time. This brings the number of disciplines in the top 1% of ESI to 13.

The physics discipline is based on the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering of Jiangsu University. Since the establishment of the college, the development of various undertakings has been steadily improved, and the major of physics has been approved as a national first-class undergraduate major construction point; the virtual teaching and research laboratory of university physics course group has been approved as the first national virtual teaching and research laboratory; physics has been approved as a key discipline of Jiangsu Province in the 14th Five-Year Plan; the engineering research center of "quantum perception and intelligent detection of agricultural conditions "In the past five years, we have published more than 200 papers in Nature Index journals such as Science, Nature, Phys. Rev. Lett. More than 200 papers have been published.
